Introductions built on proof, not promises
Every curator storefront already carries a verified track record — what they've featured, what actually sold, backed by real transaction data rather than a follower count or a bio. What we're building toward: when a creator joins with work that fits, the network surfaces the curators whose audiences have genuinely bought work like theirs, so nobody has to guess from a bio or pay for a shoutout that never converts.
Weekly live introduction sessions — coming this launch season
The plan: once a week, one hour, one medium, small rooms of creators and curators matched so it's a shortlist, not a lottery. The live-room infrastructure this will run on already exists — it's the same system powering book-club discussions and read-alouds today — but purpose-built creator/curator matching for those rooms hasn't shipped yet.
Pitches and open calls — on the roadmap
Also planned: creators pitching any curator directly — structured, with a sample, metered so curators aren't buried and a good pitch from an unknown actually gets read — and curators posting open calls, "looking for cozy fantasy for my October list," to let the right creators come to them. Neither exists on the platform yet; both are targeted for launch season.
The network pays extra for discovery
Curator commissions start at a 25% floor and rise as high as 40% for featuring a work or championing a new creator — boosts paid from the ecosystem fund, not the creator's share. A curator's best-paying move is exactly the one the network needs: finding the next great unknown first. See what curation pays, with worked examples →
Co-promotions that run themselves
A curator can request a specific, time-boxed collaboration from a creator — showcase a teaser, accept a capped Starlight-credit discount, or run a free-giveaway window. Once the creator approves it, checkout enforces the deal automatically for exactly that window — none of the contract-and-spreadsheet friction this usually takes — and it simply reverts when the window closes. A creator offering a curator a bundle or a hand-picked boosted rate is the natural next step we're building toward, not something live yet.
Today's creator is tomorrow's curator
The line between the two kinds of stars is meant to blur: one account can hold both roles, each with its own verified track record. Introduction features roll out through launch season, beginning with the Books beta — founding creators and curators get matched first.
